If you are travelling to New Zealand on business (i.e. to attend a meeting, sales conference or to purchase New Zealand goods or services), and are not receiving any payment or benefit during your time here, you will need a Business Visitor Visa.

Documents to apply for New Zealand Business Visa:

1. Visa Application Form

2. Personal documents:

+ Original passport/ Certified copy of your passport (all pages) if you cannot submit your passport at lodgment stage

+ 2 recent passport sized   photos of passport quality

+ Your all-page household book (Vietnamese nationals only)

+ Vietnamese identity card (Vietnamese nationals only)

+ Curriculum Vitae authorized by your local authority

+ Family Supplementary Questionnaire

3. Employment in Vietnam

(a) Evidence of your employment, or company, or business in Viet Nam. The letter must state your position at your place of work; and

 (b) A letter of confirmation from your company approving your trip and providing details about who is meeting the cost of your travel to New Zealand.

Examples of evidence of your employment could be:

+ Your employment contract;

+ A letter from your employer: The letter must be on company letterhead and must clearly identify the name and contact details of the writer;

+ Your business license;

+ Company ownership documents;

+ Business income tax or other documents showing your business or company is actively operating

4. Purpose of your trip to New Zealand

You must show us what business you intend to do while in New Zealand. This could be demonstrated by (not limited to):

+ A letter of invitation from a New Zealand company. The letter must be on company letterhead and must clearly identify the name and contact details of the writer;

+ Evidence of meetings or appointments that have been arranged;

+ Evidence of internal travel in New Zealand that has been arranged for your meetings

5. Evidence of funds

Provide evidence that you have sufficient funds to support yourself while in New Zealand.

As a guide, this should be approximately USD 750 (NZD 1000) per month.

Evidence of sufficient funds could be:

+ A fully completed Sponsorship Form for Temporary Entry by a New Zealand citizen, resident or organization ;

+ Statement from employer or business partner, indicating which cost will be covered

+ Bank account/s showing a regular savings history. Note: any newly opened account or recent large deposit must be explained, with supporting evidence as to where the money has come from;

+ Evidence of a regular salary or wage being paid to you;

+ Other accessible and readily available funds that belong to you.

6. Commitments in Vietnam:

Evidence of your commitments showing your strong reasons to return to Vietnam at the end of your stay in New Zealand. They could include (but are not limited to) evidence that you personally

+ Have family in Vietnam;

+ Have social responsibilities or commitments in Vietnam;

+ Have funds in Vietnam;

+ Own property or assets in Vietnam
