GUYANA

REQUIREMENTS:

The following documents shall be presented when applying for a visa:

  1. Completed visa application form in triplicate;
  2. Valid passport (at least six months validity);
  3. Three recent passport size photographs;
  4. Evidence of sufficient funds for the duration of the visit, or proof of other satisfactory arrangements of applicant’s support while in Guyana
  5. If traveling to take up employment or to reside in Guyana, a letter of approval from the Ministry of Home Affairs must be presented.

Nationals of the following countries and territories are exempt from obtaining a visa for Guyana for stays of up to 90 days, except as otherwise noted:

China – Applies to holders of passports for public affairs only.

1 – For stays of up to 6 months.
2 – For stays of up to 60 days.
3 – For stays of up to 30 days.
4 – For stays of up to 14 days.

Date of visa abolition

Nationals of the following countries are exempt from obtaining a visa for stays of up to 90 days if they hold a valid visa issued by Canada, the United States or a Schengen member state:

Guatemala

Haiti (if travelling on business}

Mexico

Visas are not required for nationals of any country who were born in Guyana as per their travel document.
