People traveling to Tanzania for Visiting friends, family members or relatives must obtain for Visitor Visa or Relative Visitor Visa, except for some countries exempted from Visa to Tanzania.

Documents to apply for Visitor or Relative Visitor Visa:

1. Applicant’s passport must have validity of at least six(6) months

2. 1 copy of Application form

3. 2 color photos

4. Documents from Inviter as an Tanzania citizen:

+ Copy of Marriage Certificate or Copy of Family Relations Book

+ Invitation letter (By original letter, fax or scanned letter)

+ Inviter’s passport copy

5. Documents from Inviter as non-Tanzania citizen

+ Invitation letter (by original letter, fax or scanned letter)

+ Invitor’s passport copy

+ Copy of Invitor’s residence permit

+ Identity-Proof Letter issued by Invitor’s Employer in Tanzania

+ License copy issued for Invitor’s Tanzanian Employer

+ Copy of latest Tax Clearance Certificate for Invitor’s Tanzanian Employer

+ Copy of Marriage Certificate or Copy of Family Relations Book

6. On-leave approval from invitee’s employer

7. Return ticket and hotel reservation

8. Original Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is requested for entry of Tanzania territory

However, to travel to Tanzania for Business purpose, visitors must apply for Tanzania Business visa, except for some countries exempted from Tanzania visa.

Documents required for Tanzania Business Visa:

1. Applicant’s passport must have validity of at least six(6) months

2. 1 copy of Application form

3. 2 color photos

4. A supporting/invitation letter from the applicant’s Business Associates in Tanzania

5. Tanzania Certificate of Incorporation

6. Original decision on sending staff to travel to Tanzania

7. Proof of employment

+ In case of employee:

– A notarized copy of valid labor contract

– Original pay slips of last 6 months

+ In case of employer:

– A notarized copy in Vietnamese of Business Registration/ Investment License

– A notarized copy of TAX/ Payment to State Budget ( latest 3 months/ latest quarter)

8. Return ticket and hotel reservation

9. Original Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate is requested for entry of Tanzania territory
