</strong>Citizens of the countries listed above are exempt from the obligation to obtain an ATV if they satisfy <strong>one</strong> of the following conditions:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  They already have a valid Uniform Visa (Type C) or a national visa for long-term sojourn (Type D) or a residency permit issued by a Member State;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  They have a valid residency permit issued by an EU Member State that does not participate in the adoption of EC Regulation no. 810/2009 (e.g. United Kingdom) or from a Member State that does not yet fully apply the provisions of the Schengen Acquis (e.g. Romania), or the citizens of third countries with one of the residency permits (valid) mentioned in Annex V of EC Reg. 810/2009 issued by Andorra, Canada, Japan, San Marino or the United States of America guaranteeing the unconditional return of its holder;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  They have a valid visa issued by an EU Member State that does not participate in the adoption of EC Regulation no. 810/2009 (e.g. United Kingdom) or from a Member State that does not yet fully apply the provisions of the Schengen Acquis (e.g. Romania), or are the citizens of third countries with one of the residency permits (valid) mentioned in Annex V of EC Reg. 810/2009 issued by Canada, Japan or the United States of America when entering the country that issued it or another third country or when, after using this visa, return from the country that issued it;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  Are a family member of a European Union citizen</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  Are a holder of a diplomatic passport</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8211;  Are a member of an airline crew and citizen of a country party to the Chicago Convention on international civil aviation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For <strong>long-term sojourns</strong> (more than 90 days) for whatever purpose <strong>all aliens are required to obtain a visa</strong>, even if they are nationals of countries that do not require transit or brief-sojourn visas.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Citizens of <strong>Taiwan</strong> exemption from visa obligation is applied exclusively to holders of passports with identity card number included.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Citizens of <strong>Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, and Serbia</strong> are exempt from visa obligation only if the passport contains biometric data.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This does not apply to citizens of <strong>Serbia</strong> holding passports issued by the Serbian Coordination Directorate (“Koordinaciona uprava”).</p>

				<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>The applicant must present the original and a true copy of each document</strong></p>
<p>In order to facilitate the submission process, please kindly arrange your papers into the following order</p>
<p>1. Visa Application Form (accurately fulfilled and signed by the applicant)</p>
<p>2. 2 photos of the applicant (4&#215;6 or 3.5&#215;4.5, white background)</p>
<p>3. Original passport valid for at least three months after visa expiry date containing at least 2 blank pages</p>
<p>4. Copy of Flight Booking (s). This booking needs to be sent directly from the airline company with contacts and logo, and provide all the necessary information of the flight(s). In case of traveling to more than 2 countries in Schengen, you will be required to submit your itinerary and proof of transportation for the ENTIRE period in Schengen area, such as flight booking, train or coach booking, etc… Name of applicant(s) need to be shown on all booking (s).</p>
<p>5. A copy of Travel Insurance, valid for all countries in the Schengen States, for the whole period of stay with minimum liability of Euro 30.000.</p>
<p>+ For duration of stay in Schengen States less than 7 days, you will be required to acquire a travel insurance valid for a minimum period of 7 days. For example, you intend to stay in Schengen States from 20 January to 23 January 2015 (4 days), then you need to buy a travel insurance validated from 20 January to 26 January 2015 (7 days).</p>
<p>+ For duration of stay in Schengen States from 7 days to  more, you will be required to buy a travel insurance validated in the entire duration of stay plus to 2 extra days. For example, if you intend to stay in Schengen States from 20 January to 26 January 2015 (7 days), then you need to buy a travel insurance validated from 20 to 28 January 2015 (9 days).</p>
<p>6. Copy of proof of accommodation during the ENTIRE stay in Schengen area</p>
<p>+ Hotel booking (s). Name of the applicant needs to be shown on the hotel booking (s). The date on flight booking and hotel booking must be logically matched. For example, if you intend to depart on 20 January 2015, and arrive in Italy on 21 January 2015, and you will leave Italy on 28 January 2015, in this case, your hotel booking in Italy must be checked in on 21 January 2015 and checked out on 28 January 2015. We will not accept a hotel booking with the check-in date and check-out date earlier or later than your departure and arrival, even if the difference is only one day</p>
<p>7. Documents from the applicant’s company in Viet Nam:</p>
<p>+ A notarized copy of valid labor contract</p>
<p>+ Original pay slips of last 6 months</p>
<p>+ Original decision on sending staff to travel to Italy</p>
<p>+ Business Registration/ Investment License of the applicant’s employer. Name of the company on the business registration/ investment license must be matched with name of the company on the valid labor contract.</p>
<p>+ A notarized copy of TAX/ Payment to State Budget (latest 3 months/ latest quarter)</p>
<p>+ A bank statement of the company’s account (latest 3 months up to the date of application, with the original seal from the bank) OR a verification letter confirming the present balance of the company’s account (with the original seal from the bank) is required.</p>
<p>+ In case the Vietnamese company is attending a fair/ exhibition in Italy: shipment invoice, shipment contract, display plan, display photo etc.</p>
<p>8. Documents from the company in Italy:</p>
<p>+ Letter of invitation from the Italian company. Noted: the letter of invitation must follow the official format of the Embassy of Italy in Vietnam</p>
<p>+ A copy of travel agenda indicating schedules business contacts;</p>
<p>+ A copy of valid ID card or passport of the inviter from the Italian company;</p>
<p>+ A copy of Business Registration (Visura Camerale) of the Italian company;</p>
<p>9. Proof of financial status:</p>
<p>+ Latest 3 months bank statement. (Original one with seal from the bank). For example, if you intend to submit your visa application on 20 January 2015, you will be advised to submit your bank statement from  01 October 2014 until 18 or 20 January 2015. In case your monthly salary is transferred via banking, you will be required to submit the salary bank statement. Business owner with the percentage of capital contribution under 100% cannot submit the bank statement of his company. In case of not using any credit/ bank card, you may be required to open a new credit card.</p>
<p>+ Notarized copy of bank saving book/ Bank Account Verification ( if any)</p>
<p>+ Notarized copy of vehicle registration ( if any)</p>
<p>+ Notarized copy of house/land registration documents, tenancy agreement/ mortgage statement (if any)</p>
<p>+ Notarized copy of certification of shareholder ship ( if any)</p>
<p>+ Bank guarantee certificate from sponsor in Italy</p>
<p>10. Other documents:</p>
<p>+ For applicants holding non Vietnamese passport: A notarized copy of work permit or temporary residence permit is required.</p>
<p>+ A notarized copy of household registration</p>
<p>+ A notarized copy of birth certificate/ marriage certificate/ divorce certificate/ single certificate/ death certificate.</p>
<p>+ For minors (under 18 years) traveling with only one parent:</p>
<p>&#8211;   Original parental consent letter</p>
<p>&#8211;   Notarized copy of valid ID card or passport of the absent parent;</p>
<p>&#8211;   Notarized copy of the minor’s birth certificate;</p>
<p>&#8211;   Authorization of the change of the surname (if changed).</p>
<p>11. An A4-sized copy of the original valid passport</p>
<p>12. An A4-sized copy of previous passport (s) (if any)</p>

<p>+ All copies of documents in Vietnamese must be notarized/ certified and accurately translated into English/ Italian. The translations do not need to be certified by any translation services.</p>
